When choosing the length of your bridal veil, consider your height and the style of your dress.
Here are the veil-related jargon that you can use as your guide:
Blusher - is the veil that covers the face when the bride walks down the aisle and throughout the ceremony. It is this piece of fabric that the groom will dramatically lift when the priest instructs him to kiss the bride. This can be 20" long, just reaching the bride's shoulders or can be a dramatic 60" long. Take your pick.
Shoulder or Fly Away - the shortest length, could be 20" long or shorter
Elbow - hits the bride's elbows, usually 28" long
Fingertip - hits the bride's fingertips/hands, usually 36" long
Waltz or Ballet - between the bride's knees and calves, usually 56" long
Chapel - extends all the way to the ground, usually 108" long
Cathedral - extends beyond the gown's train, could be 120" or longer. For a dramatic effect, cathedral veils usually have an intricate design.
